The murmurs of Joshua and Elizabeth still met my ears as they sprinted into the living room where I guessed the sound of breaking glass came from. The murmurs then turned to small laughs and I could hear the glass clinking together and being thrown into a bag. I sighed, licking my lips again from the dry atmosphere of the room and began to hear footsteps coming to my room. "Oh you silly little Pokemon you~ you shouldn't get up like that, rest is what you need." I heard Elizabeth coo with a giggle, opening my door to reveal herself, Joshua, and Raichu in her hands.

"Raichu!" My eyes widened and a smile crept onto my face.

"Rai rai!"

Raichu jumped out of Elizabeth's arms and scurried over to my bed, jumping up onto it to be at my side. "Oh Raichu, thank Arceus you're safe." I whispered as I placed my right hand onto the electric Pokemon's head.

Raichu nuzzled against my cheek and I saw Joshua and Elizabeth smile out of the corner of my eye. "Awe!" Elizabeth swooned, her fingertips touching the her cheeks as Joshua placed an arm around her shoulder.

Joshua then interrupted my tender moment with Raichu and spoke with a kind smile as always. "Are you hungry Lakrymosa? It has been nearly two days since you have eaten."

I looked over to the dark-haired man and then to Raichu. "Hm, oddly enough, I'm not at all. Though Raichu, are you hungry by chance?"

Raichu shook his head and then proceeded to nuzzle my face exceedingly, which surprisingly hadn't fallen off at the amount of force the electric mouse put into its loving nuzzles. "Okay. Well Joshua, I think we're just fine."

"I see." he nodded his head and looked at Elizabeth. "Well, if you need something, don't be afraid to ask. Our house is your house."

I smiled at Joshua's kind-mannered comment, glad that someone like him and Elizabeth found us all. Arceus only knows what kind of nut could have possibly found us. "You should get more rest now Lakrymosa." Elizabeth spoke, walking over and smoothing out the ends of the blankets and patting my leg.

"Alright." I nodded to her, Raichu curling up beside me. "Oh! Uh, could I get a glass of water actually?"

"Of course." Elizabeth walked out of the room quickly, grabbing a glass and filling it with water and bringing it back to me in a matter of about 10 seconds. "That good?" she asked kindly.

I took a sip and the dry atmosphere didn't seem so dry anymore. "Yes, thankyou."

She nodded and walked to the door of the room and Joshua flicked the lights off. "Night."

"Goodnight."

                                                                              ________

"Help me! Someone, please! Help me!!"

I ran as fast as I could, my lungs burning and my heart racing at an incredible speed. Something was chasing me, I wasn't entirely sure what is was, but it wasn't good, it was dangerous.

"Someone help me!!"

No one was here. Not a single person. There was no one to help me out, to watch over me, to tell me it'll be alright, to protect me from whatever it was that was chasing me.

I was all alone.

"Help me!!"

I thought I was going to die as I couldn't go on any longer. Everything hurt, it felt as if I would fall apart there and then, but instead I stopped. Two identical roads came into my view, nothing was different about them. I broke out into a sweat and I felt my hands shaking. What was this? Why were these roads here? Why did I feel so freaked out about these two roads?

"Choose."

A voice came out of nowhere, startling me. I looked around and found no one, though honestly, the voice couldn't have come out of thin air? Could it?

"Choose a path."

I whipped myself around to the voice, a taller young woman standing in front of me. She had shoulder length brown hair that was straight cut, but had two long strands that were wrapped in white ribbons at the back which reached her knees. She wore a simple white dress that went to her knees and white sandals. A white headband with an orchid placed in it was in her hair and her eyes... her eyes were so captivating. They reminded me of amethyst, but yet, they had no life in them.

"Choose a path."

"A... path?"

She didn't answer me.

"Quickly."

I felt the ground shake and immediately I was reminded me of the thing that  was behind me, that was chasing me.

"Choose one."

"But -! Which one? Where will they take me?"

"That's for you to decide."

A high-pitched growl came from behind me and I looked back. A black shadow, almost like a mist, came closer and closer. It had bright yellow eyes.

"Choose one!"

Looking back the woman was gone, and I was alone, again.

"What do I do?"

A howl behind me interrupted my thoughts and I took in a shaky breath. Taking a step forward the ground underneath my feet seemed to break like glass.

Screams echoed around me as I fell into a pitch black abyss.

                                                                              ________

I opened my eyes to the sound of branches cracking against the frosted window of the bedroom I lye in. Raichu sound asleep beside me, the storm outside raged on like nothing else existed but it alone. My palms felt slick with sweat and I brought my right arm up to rub against my forehead which was covered in sweat. Struggling to get up I managed to slowly but surely, letting go of a breath I held in unconsciously. The room was dark and stuffy, and then I remembered the glass of water on the desk beside me. My hand around the glass cup felt refreshing, water dripping down the sides and down my throat as I took a sip.

I then wondered what that dream was about.

My heart was still racing and there was a tingle in my hands.

Who was that woman?

What was that thing?

There were many questions in my mind about my dream. It felt so real, but yet at the same time, it didn't feel real. But it was just a dream right? Nothing special about it? ...My thoughts told me otherwise.

That woman. I felt like I knew her, but I knew I didn't. I would have remembered someone like her.

"Who are you?" the words slipped out in a whisper from my lips.

My eyes drifted over to the window that showed only frost and flickering white flakes against a black canvas. It seemed so surreal, this moment.

"Rai..."

Raichu shifted in his sleep, his tail flicking around then wrapping around his small body. I placed my hand over his head and let out a sigh.

So many questions...
